MarkdownMaster CMS is licensed under MIT and is offered gratis and libre. This means that, gratis, obtaining and using the software costs nothing and, libre, that you are able to view and fork the source code and all development of the application occurs in the open public.
Development takes time however, and our developers like to eat and pay rent.
Custom development and support needs vary greatly based on business requirements. As a rough basis however for common sites (excluding any design work required), with some custom page templates, about a week of development effort is to be expected with another few days for testing and deployment. This starts at around $3,200 for about a week and a half of effort.
eVAL provides quotes based on expected effort, so if only deployment assistance is required, that may be as low as $200 for a few hours of work. (Did we mention that quotes are free?)
eVAL Agency is not a design firm, but we can contract with local designers when the need arises. A completely custom designed theme generally starts around $3,500 and includes consultations with the design team to get exactly what you might be envisioning.
Since MarkdownMaster CMS utilizes static template files, virtually any web theme can be customized to work with the CMS. This can be a great cost savings for those not needing a completely custom designer's touch.
eVAL offers monthly and ongoing services to accompany a website coding, including the actual hosting of the site itself and all health and SEO monitoring needs. This usually starts at around $50/month for hosting of email and web plus some basic monitoring services.
For the budget conscious, we're also more than happy to develop the code and hand it off to you to host and maintain yourself.
So long-answer short... it depends. Hopefully at least now you'll have a ballpark idea of what custom development will cost. (At least when that work is performed locally and not out-sourced for $2/hr.)
